Woodwork Resources and Safety Procedures



WWrasp has been built as a free resource to help students, practitioners and other interested parties to learn more about woodworking machinery and safe procedures.

This resource is meant to be used in conjunction with a certified training programme as a point of reference for supplementary information. The information contained in this resource is of an introductory nature and aimed at teaching woodworkers key facts about the machines they are beginning to use.

If you are ever unsure of something when using a machine, always ask as expert.

Davin Larkin
The mind behind WWrasp


WWrasp was developed by Davin Larkin , a Lecturer and Furniture designer based in the West of Ireland. Davin has been working as a lecturer in GMIT Letterfrack since 2011 and has first hand experience teaching students how to use a range of woodworking machinery.

The woodworking Industry is one of the most dangerous industries one can work in and it is Davin's belief that better education and training in the safe use of woodworking machinery could make this industry safer for all. WWrasp is a small contribution to anyone out there who has an interest in learning more about a range of woodworking machines.
